Cleveland, Euclid Avenue (Figure 1) is a painting in acryl colour on canvas in the scale 120 cm × 160 cm, made in 2007.

“I painted this street scene after having been inspired by the black and white title photo of the journal ‘Memories of a Lifetime, Vol. II’ from Cleveland Press Collection.

The painting is part of a series of paintings of foreign and local locations.”

Oranna Schoenhagen was born in Simmern in Germany in 1961 and grew up in Dortmund. She attended courses in Act Painting and Design (Prof. Birkner/Fachhochschule für Design, Dortmund). Her work also includes portraits and still lifes and has been exhibited among others at Villa Wolf/Wachenheim [2003], e-port-Dortmund [2005], Artothek der Stadt Dortmund [2006], Art Depot/Berlin (seit 2008).
